Requirements

Technical Skills
3+ years of experience in backend development;
Strong proficiency in Python;
Experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs;
Deep knowledge of MySQL/Mongo DB database design and optimisation;
Understanding of AWS cloud services and deployment;
Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or other containerisation tools;
Strong understanding of security best practices in backend development;
English level — B2+.
Soft Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
Excellent communication skills for cross-team collaboration.

Would be a plus

PHP (Laravel Framework);
Experience with payment processing systems;
Knowledge of financial transaction security standards (PCI DSS, GDPR);
Familiarity with message queue systems (RabbitMQ, Kafka, etc.).

What you will do

Develop and maintain backend services using Python (and PHP — optional);
Design, develop, and manage secure RESTful APIs for our front-end applications;
Optimise database queries and improve the performance of MySQL/Mongo DB and Redis databases;
Implement authentication, authorisation, and security best practices;
Ensure seamless integration with payment gateways and financial institutions;
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot production issues as needed;
Work with DevOps teams to improve CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployment processes;
Collaborate with front-end developers and product teams to improve system architecture.
