Requirements
- Technical Skills
- 3+ years of experience in backend development;
- Strong proficiency in Python;
- Experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs;
- Deep knowledge of MySQL/Mongo DB database design and optimisation;
- Understanding of AWS cloud services and deployment;
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or other containerisation tools;
- Strong understanding of security best practices in backend development;
- English level — B2+.
- Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Excellent communication skills for cross-team collaboration.
Would be a plus
- PHP (Laravel Framework);
- Experience with payment processing systems;
- Knowledge of financial transaction security standards (PCI DSS, GDPR);
- Familiarity with message queue systems (RabbitMQ, Kafka, etc.).
What you will do
- Develop and maintain backend services using Python (and PHP — optional);
- Design, develop, and manage secure RESTful APIs for our front-end applications;
- Optimise database queries and improve the performance of MySQL/Mongo DB and Redis databases;
- Implement authentication, authorisation, and security best practices;
- Ensure seamless integration with payment gateways and financial institutions;
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot production issues as needed;
- Work with DevOps teams to improve CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployment processes;
- Collaborate with front-end developers and product teams to improve system architecture.
