About the project
We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team in a dynamic, dual-focus role.
In this position, 50% of your time will be dedicated to driving our internal initiatives — enhancing our migration expertise and creating impactful case studies.
The remaining 50% will be spent working on diverse, high-value client projects, giving you the opportunity to apply your skills in real-world scenarios while contributing to our company’s growth.
Requirements
- Technical requirements:
- Expertise:
- 3+ years in infrastructure engineering or DevOps roles, with experience using AWS in production environments.
- 2+ years of VMware vSphere experience.
- Proven track record of executing migrations from VMware to AWS.
- Strong knowledge of AWS migration services: AWS Application Migration Service (MGN), AWS Database Migration Service (DMS), AWS Storage Gateway.
- Proficiency in AWS Well-Architected Framework and Cloud Adoption Framework.
- Experience implementing security controls across hybrid environments.
- English — Upper Intermediate+.
- Technologies:
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS core services: EC2, EKS, VPC, S3, IAM, RDS, CloudWatch, Route 53, ELB, etc.
- Strong understanding of VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, vSAN, NSX.
- Experience with hybrid networking: VPN, Direct Connect, Transit Gateway configurations.
- Knowledge of application dependency mapping and migration wave planning.
- Advanced proficiency in Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline, GitHub).
- Container technologies: Docker, Kubernetes, Amazon EKS.
- Experience implementing monitoring and logging: CloudWatch, ELK Stack, Prometheus, Grafana.
- Proficiency in Python, Bash, PowerShell.
- Basic understanding of application architectures (microservices, serverless).
- Experience migrating databases (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL to AWS RDS/Aurora).
- Understanding of compliance frameworks (SOC 2, PCI-DSS, HIPAA).
- Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting mindset.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong documentation habits.

What you will do
- Design, plan, and execute migrations from VMware-based on-premises infrastructure to AWS Cloud.
- Build and maintain hybrid infrastructure environments (VMware on-premises + AWS).
- Utilize AWS native migration tools (e.g., AWS Application Migration Service, AWS Server Migration Service, AWS Migration Hub, AWS EBS, AWS Transform).
- Automate deployment, configuration, and migration workflows using IaC (Terraform/CloudFormation) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Ensure security, compliance, and cost optimization throughout migration and hybrid operations.
- Troubleshoot and optimize both on-premises VMware environments and AWS resources.
- Create detailed documentation, migration runbooks, and knowledge transfer materials.
- Mentor team members on AWS and migration best practices.
- Optimize costs and performance post-migration.
