Requirements
- 3+ years of DevOps experience;
- Strong experience in Python and scripting for automation;
Strong hands on experience with AWS core services: EC2,EKS, VPC, S3, IAM, RDS, CloudWatch, Route 53, ELB, etc;
Experience managing kubernetes cluster workloads;
Hands-on experience with GitOps approach (ArgoCD);
Strong experience building and managing complex CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitlabCI, Jenkins);
- Background in Linux system administration and production system maintenance;
- Experience with monitoring and alerting tools (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, CloudWatch);
- Knowledge of security best practices (certificates, secrets management, access control);
- Ability to translate operational needs into simple tools that non-technical staff can use;
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in live production environments;
- English B2+.
What you will do
- System Maintenance & Reliability
- Maintain and monitor the remittance system in production to ensure uptime and stability;
- Manage certificate renewals, secrets, and credentials;
- Perform regular system upgrades (e.g. Python version updates, dependency patching, OS/security updates);
- Ensure disaster recovery and failover processes are in place and tested.
- Ops Tooling & Automation
- Build tools and dashboards that allow Ops staff to handle issues (e.g. retry failed payment reconciliations, restart services, clear queues);
- Automate routine recovery and maintenance tasks to reduce manual intervention;
- Improve observability by implementing monitoring, logging, and alerting tailored for Ops;
- Document troubleshooting steps and wrap them into reusable tools/playbooks.
- Operational Enablement
- Act as the first line of escalation for production issues, with the goal of enabling Ops to resolve most cases independently;
- Work closely with the Operations team to understand pain points and design automation solutions;
- Provide training and support so Ops can confidently use the tools provided.
