Senior Manual QA

We are looking for a Senior Manual QA to join our team at Geniusee. 

Requirements.

  • 4+ years of experience in manual testing;
  • 3+ years of experience with web applications;
  • 1+ years of experience with mobile applications;
  • Experience in writing test documentation (e.g., Test Plans, Master/Level Test Plans);
  • Solid understanding of testing methodologies and frameworks;
  • Ability to define and specify appropriate testing approaches based on features and items selected for testing;
  • Experience performing product feature analysis and enhancement workflows;
  • Experience creating, updating, and reviewing specifications, requirements, and other relevant documentation;
  • Proficiency in preparing Test Cases/Scenarios using standard test design techniques;
  • Experience operating and managing testing environments (e.g., deploying versions, checking logs, etc.);
  • Expertise in performing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Impact Analysis (IA);
  • Experience collecting statistical data for monitoring product quality and reliability;
  • Capable of preparing detailed test progress and summary reports for each testing stage;
  • Familiarity with testing metrics and risk assessment;
  • Strong understanding of network principles;
  • Experience with databases and SQL;
  • Proficient in client-server architecture, microservices, and backend testing;
  • Experience with REST/GraphQL APIs (e.g., Postman queries);
  • Experience using developer tools (e.g., Chrome DevTools, etc.);
  • Proficient in log investigation, SSH, and development consoles;
  • Upper-intermediate or higher proficiency in spoken and written English.

Would be a plus.

  • ISTQB certification;
  • Performance testing experience;
  • Experience with Localization testing.

What you will do.

  • Estimate QC activities at various stages of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and adjust estimates as necessary;
  • Efficiently schedule QC activities to optimize the testing process within the SDLC;
  • Prioritize tasks based on the project schedule, stages, milestones, and expected delivery dates;
  • Conduct feature/enhancement analysis using defined procedures and workflows;
  • Create, update, support, and review documents related to QC activities (e.g., specifications, requirements);
  • Define test design scope, expediency, and types of tests based on selected approaches;
  • Manage and operate testing environments (e.g., deploying versions, checking logs, etc.);
  • Configure testing tools and extensions based on chosen test types and methodologies;
  • Execute testing procedures to ensure the product meets quality standards;
  • Report and track defects using a structured workflow;
  • Perform regression testing with changes in product requirements;
  • Verify that defects/issues are resolved and test documentation is appropriately updated;
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis for defects;
  • Share testing results with clients and team members (e.g., test execution reports);
  • Prepare summary reports after all testing stages, using predefined templates;
  • Validate testing deliverables against quality objectives and project goals;
  • Analyze the effectiveness of test automation and identify product areas for automation;
  • Collect and evaluate statistical data to maintain product quality and reliability;
  • Develop QC metrics to measure performance at the team and individual levels;
  • Mentor other team members in QC activities, providing reviews, support, and consultation as needed;
  • Assess and manage quality risks for projects/products.
