Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as a business analyst in a software development area;
- Preferable technical background, at least basic experience working as a developer or QA;
- Understanding of business analysis best practices in working with the business, stakeholder, solution requirements, applying common effective BA techniques
- Flexible, adaptable to customer’s needs, and driven by the dynamic environment;
- Be able to communicate with various business and technical stakeholders;
- Ability to decompose and specify requirements by defining user stories and acceptance criteria;
- Proven experience with modeling techniques (BPMN, UML);
- High level of responsibility and proactivity;
- Excellent communication and analytical skills;
- English level — Upper-Intermediate.
What you will do
- Analyze and tailor key BA processes and activities within software development projects;
- Explore and monitor the project’s developing system, market, and domain, providing insightful analysis relevant to the project’s solution, context, stakeholders, etc;
- Plan and conduct various collaborative and research-based elicitation activities tailored to project needs;
- Provide a shared understanding of BA information with stakeholders by defining an appropriate communication format;
- Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure effective collaborative relationships in various situations;
- Collaborate with and consult the development and QA team throughout the entire development cycle;
- Actively facilitate and contribute to requirements management activities;
- Manage and contribute to the change management process, addressing requirements changes within the project;
- Conduct gap analysis, identifying processes and capabilities for the current and future states of the project;
- Define and conduct appropriate BA activities for project discovery;
- Effectively decompose various types of requirements to ensure they are concise and comprehensive enough for project stakeholders;
- Specify requirements in forms such as user stories, acceptance criteria, use cases, and scenarios with an appropriate level of abstraction;
- Enrich requirements with models (using a wide range of UML diagrams, BPMN, data modeling techniques, wireframes) that best fit the project case
- Determine the value of requirements and solution options to enable business stakeholders to choose the best options;
- Conduct business acceptance testing, gather and utilize stakeholder feedback on the developed solution to drive improvements;
- Engage in the company’s leadership activities including interviewing, knowledge-sharing, mentorship, BA service development, etc.
