About the project

We are looking for a freelance PHP developer who is an experienced Moodle expert to assist a team of developers with an ongoing UA-based EdTech project

Requirements

3+ years of experience in IT;
Knowledge of PHP 5−8, experience with PHP frameworks (Symfony, Laravel, Yii, etc.;
Hands-on experience with front-end technologies such as AMD modules, jQuery, SCSS, Bootstrap 4, especially for Moodle theme customization;
Recent hands-on experience with Moodle 3.5+;
Understanding of the internals of Moodle including but not limited to Event APIs, Adhoc tasks, custom cli utilities, Contexts, Completions, Backup and Restore;
Experience in writing custom modules and themes for Moodle;
Knowledge of MySQL or other RDBMS, NoSQL solutions;
Effective communication skills to align with project goals and ensure smooth collaboration;
Experience to handle project without supporting resources (BA, QA);
Spoken and written English at least Intermediate.

Would be a plus

Experience in scaling Moodle;
Knowledge of containerization principles, and hands-on experience with Docker.
