Requirements

Technical Requirements

8+ years of software engineering experience with 5+ years of Python development;
Hands-on experience with OpenSearch or Elasticsearch, including relevance tuning;
Proficiency with distributed computation frameworks like DASK;
Strong experience with MongoDB or similar NoSQL databases;
Strong experience with Django, FastAPI, AWS or Azure;
Experience implementing caching solutions using Redis or equivalent technologies;
Demonstrated ability to design clean, efficient APIs following RESTful principles;
Knowledge of pub-sub messaging patterns and event-driven architectures.

Architecture & Design Skills

3+ years architecting distributed systems with focus on search and data retrieval;
Experience designing loosely coupled systems that balance performance and cost;
Ability to create comprehensive technical designs with clear trade-off analysis;
Knowledge of search ranking algorithms and retrieval optimization techniques.

DevOps & Collaboration

Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks;
Understanding of containerization and cloud deployment models;
Strong team collaboration skills;
Ability to work effectively with product and business stakeholders.

Qualifications

BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience;
Strong problem-solving skills and algorithmic thinking;
Experience with agile development methodologies;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Design and develop scalable search and retrieval systems using Python;
Architect and implement RESTful APIs for search functionality and data access;
Build distributed data processing pipelines using DASK or similar frameworks;
Optimize search performance, relevance, and system efficiency;
Implement caching strategies using Redis to enhance system performance
